Depending on the type of visa, every UAE resident must undergo a similar exercise every two years.

Therefore, you can verify whether your UAE residency visa is valid at any time. The same method can be used to inquire about the status of a Dubai visit visa.

As an expatriate, you are forced to consider the visa status after arriving in UAE. Well, there are three general types of visas – visit visas, labor visas, and residence visas.

If you want to stay in the UAE longer than your visa, then you might be able to change your status or apply for an extension, but this will depend on what type of visa was initially issued.

Checking Labor Visa Status in UAE

If you’re working for an organization in the United Arab Emirates, then you might be getting a labor visa. The number of days that your employer needs to give before starting your official contract depends on the number of workers hired by them.

The UAE government has the authority to issue, renew, or amend visas. You’ll need to go through your employer to check your visa status. They’ll be able to tell you how long it is valid for and other pertinent information.

Checking Tourist Visa Status in UAE

If you’re planning on staying in the country for a while, it’s probably best to stay on the right side of the law. One of the most common reasons people are deported from the UAE is because they’re caught overstaying their visas.

A tourist visa usually lasts for one month, but you can apply for an extension if necessary. You can extend your tourist visa two times for a total of 30 days each, without having to leave the country. The process is simple, and you can do it at any of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) branches.

Checking Residence Visa Status in UAE

A residence visa is usually tied to a job or family status. In order to apply for a residence visa, you’ll need to have an employment contract from your company and/or sponsor. The visa will be stamped in your passport and is valid for two years or more depends on the sponsorship.

Your sponsor will need to go to the immigration office in order to renew your visa. They’ll also be able to provide you with other important information, such as the number of days that you’re allowed to stay in the country each year.

There are a few other things that you should keep in mind when it comes to visa status in the UAE. Always carry your passport with you, and make sure that it’s valid for at least six months from your date of arrival. If your visa is about to expire, or if it’s already expired, then you’ll need to leave the country immediately. You can’t renew a visa from within the UAE.

In case your visa has expired, then you need to leave the country within 30 days. You might also be deported if you overstay your visa.

The UAE is a great place to live and work, but it’s important to stay on the right side of the law. If you’re not sure about your visa status, then it’s best to follow up with your employer or the authorities.

Hopefully, you will find it useful. Renewal of a UAE visa is necessary before it expires.

The UAE fines you for overstaying your visa if you remain in the country after it has expired.

People who are unsure of the legal consequences of leaving the country should check their travel ban status prior to leaving.

Validity checks for UAE tourist visas can be conducted using the same methods outlined above. In the event a tourist visa needs to be renewed or extended in Dubai or the UAE in general, this will help you avoid overstay fines.
